From to Infinity, We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as beneficiaries of the VII Artistic Production Grants from the Cultural Factory in Avilés. This support encourages us to develop ReciclARTE, a pioneering project that tackles one of the major challenges of 3D printing: the management of plastic waste generated in the process.
What is ReciclARTE?
ReciclARTE is born with the purpose of recycling plastic waste produced by 3D printers, such as supports or failed prototypes, transforming them into products with functional and aesthetic value. Inspired by initiatives such as... Precious Plastic, which demonstrate how recycling can be accessible to everyone, ReciclARTE seeks to go further. The project aims to make recycling even more accessible, using technologies which are low-cost and open source, also collaborating with artists specialized in mold creation. The goal is not only to reuse plastic, but to generate unique pieces that fuse art, crafts, and technology.
A Collaborative and Artistic Approach
What distinguishes ReciclARTE It is its collaborative approach. From to Infinity, We work closely with artists and artisans, whose sensitivity and skill elevate the value of each recycled piece. This artisanal approach transforms recycled products into works with aesthetic and emotional value, representing the perfect union of recycling and art.
Each creation will be a unique combination of recycling techniques and artistic creativity, giving each piece not only functionality but also a story that conveys the positive impact on the environment.
Collaboration and Sustainability
Thanks to the infrastructure of the Avilés Cultural Factory, we have an ideal space to experiment, innovate and collaborate. We believe that the creative reuse of plastic materials is an essential pillar for a sustainable future, and with ReciclARTE We aim to contribute from an artistic and accessible approach.
Throughout the project, our pieces will be presented in various cultural spaces in Avilés, offering the public a tangible example of how recycling can be transformed into art. ReciclARTE It's not just a technical project; it's an invitation to reflect on the importance of reusing and revaluing resources through the combination of modern technology and artisanal tradition.
Looking Towards the Future
The process is already underway, and we are excited about the progress we have made and what is to come. At the end of development, this project will be presented in various cultural spaces in Avilés. Sharing the results and impact of this proposal with the community.
Throughout this journey, we will share updates to showcase progress and lessons learned, aiming to inspire others to explore creative recycling. Upon completion, we will make all the knowledge and tools developed available to the public, hoping that more people will join this artistic recycling revolution.
